Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Houston follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I had been wanting to visit this after seeing several photos of it. I was surprised how big it was. There is a wide, paved path that allowed me to use my walker. The incline wasn't too steep for me. There were benches at the top but no shade so pick your time carefully. I'm glad I went and would like to see it at different seasons.

1st time here with my family. This park or Gardens is huge. Great place for a picnic, to goof around, throw the frisby, check out the Japanese Garden and so much more. It's worth visiting.

McGovern Centennial Gardens is a beautiful, peaceful spot in the heart of Houston. The gardens are well-designed and beautifully maintained, with colorful seasonal flowers and a standout rose garden thatโ€™s perfect for a relaxing walk or photos. The spiral hill is a highlight, offering a nice view of the grounds and nearby skyline. Itโ€™s a great place to unwind, whether youโ€™re visiting solo, with family, or friends. Clean, easy to access, and connected to Hermann Park, itโ€™s one of Houstonโ€™s best outdoor escapes.
